Guardian Gray by International Coatings 7043 Guardian Gray is a high-performance plastisol ink designed to offer superior bleed resistance for printing on polyester and polyester-blend fabrics. It provides a strong base for high-quality prints while maintaining excellent opacity and color integrity. Key Features • Superior Bleed Resistance: Ideal for fabrics prone to dye migration or bleeding. • Versatile Application: Can be top-coated with various inks, including low-cure products. • Spot Flashing: Features a low after-flash tack, making it suitable for wet-on-wet printing. • Reliable Performance: Designed to reduce the risk of dye migration, but testing is recommended for fabric compatibility. Ink Application • Application Method: For best results, print two passes of 7043 Guardian Gray® through a 110 mesh screen. • Top Coat Process: After flashing the first layer, apply a low-bleed white ink or another performance ink to complete the print. • Spot Flashing: For spot drying, lower the heat if necessary to prevent the ink from becoming too tacky. Only partially cure (dry to the touch) before final curing in the dryer. • Reducers/Modifiers: Be cautious when adding any reducers or additives, as this can lower opacity and increase cure times. Screen Mesh • Recommended mesh count of 110 for best results. Curing • Cure Temperature: 325°F (163°C) for full curing of the ink film. • Important Tip: Proper curing is essential for avoiding bleed issues and ensuring optimal adhesion.
