The Metal Earth Star Trek models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces and follow the included directions to assemble your model. The USS Enterprise NCC-1701 is a Federation Constitution class heavy cruiser that was in service with the Starfleet in the mid to late 23rd century. In the course of her career, the Enterprise became the most celebrated starship of her time. Captianed by James T. Kirk she was destroyed over the Genesis Planet in 2285 when Kirk activated the ship's auto destruct sequence to prevent the Enterprise form falling into the hands of the Klingons.
