Installation does NOT require a recessed housing or junction box, only a simple 2.75-inch diameter cut-out in the ceiling using the provided template. The elegantly designed fixture and off-board driver (included) allows for a more flexible installation and an increased lifespan thanks to the superior heat management system separated from the LED module itself. The DGD3 features adjustable spring-loaded retention tabs for a secure fit, eliminating the need for a recessed housing or junction box.
