Siam Ruby Banana features vibrant red and green leaves andlarge fragrant flowers. When young, Siam Ruby leaves are bright green with stripes of red; as this banana plant matures, the leaves become predominantly red with flecks of green. Siam Rubies generally get their red color when they reach 12 inches or taller and the deep red color is intensified when given more sun. Easy to Care For In pots, use a high quality potting soil in a 20 inch (or bigger) container. Water daily and fertilize with plant food once a week. When the temperature dips below 50 F, it is best to bring the plant into the house. The plant will not survive freezing temperatures. During the winter months, trim back the plant. Outdoors, the Siam Ruby Plant should be planted in rich, well-drained soil.
