A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain in Ghana, West Africa. Many designs of Krobo beads are patterned to resemble old Venetian fancy trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create these round shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water which is applied by hand using a thin wooden stalk. Each bead measures approximately 14-15 x 17-18mm with a hole size of approximately 3mm. You will receive a full strand measuring approximately 28". Available in a variety of sizes.
