These red padre beads are found in Ethiopia, East Africa. Originally European Made and have been traded in African in the late 1800 early 1900's. The beads are approx. 8-9mm in diameter. Look carefully to appreciate: these are the original, old padres...not new or reproductions which are much easier to find. Strands may be strung on raffia or cotton cord.
